We live in a complex, fragile world. While there are strong governments and intelligent people working around the clock to ensure that catastrophe doesn’t occur, you can never rely on their guarantees.
Instead, it’s best to prepare for potential disaster situations you might face over the next year.
In our opinion, the below five disaster situations are most worth getting ready for:
5. Foreign Invasion
While an all-out foreign invasion is unlikely, it’s not necessarily unlikely that a large, military-focused country like China or Russia might send drones or other autonomous craft to our shores.
If there is an invasion of American soil, you can expect a full-out war to erupt. This would undoubtedly be a disaster for our economy and our working class.
4. Volcanic Eruption
It’s no secret that Yellowstone National Park sits on top of a supervolcano area. Many experts believe that this supervolcano is due to erupt any time over the next few hundred years… or before.
If and when this volcano does erupt, it will be an environmental catastrophe unlike anything we have ever seen before. Expect at least one to two years of global winter as ash chokes the sky, severe food shortages, and widespread chaos. In fact, it’s no stretch to say that a volcanic eruption like the kind predicted to occur around the Yellowstone area eventually is the worst possible disaster situation we could face as a species, aside from the asteroid impact discussed below.
3. Financial Crisis
A full-on financial crisis, like a repeat of the 1929 Great Depression, would undoubtedly be terrible for America and for the rest of the world. This disaster situation would take a little longer to fully ramp up, but it would lead to widespread unemployment, looting in the streets, and even military responses.
Additionally, many people’s jobs would be lost, regardless of industry or niche.

COVID-19 was not as lethal a pandemic as several others in human history, like the 1918 Spanish Flu. In many ways, it was a trial run for how our governments and people could respond to an actual global crisis.
We don’t think it’s a stretch to say that they failed. If COVID-19 was a trial for some future pandemic, we don’t have a lot of confidence in the US government to manage things properly. A true pandemic with a high mortality rate would be quite lethal and difficult to avoid.
1. Asteroid Impact
An asteroid impact like the kind that wiped out the dinosaurs would change the face of the earth and potentially cause the extinction of the human race. It sounds unlikely, but remember that just a couple of years ago, an asteroid around the same size as the aforementioned space rock passed between the Earth and the moon, missing us by the cosmological equivalent of a hair’s breadth.
That’s quite a doozy of disasters to prepare for. With any luck, America will be spared from all of these and be allowed to regain its energy before facing the next big challenge.
In the meantime, you can prepare for any catastrophe by building a bug-out bag and readying yourself before the government starts sounding the alarm.
Thank you for reading, stay strong patriots.
