7 Emergency Preparedness Tips Critical for 2022
Don't Get Complacent
It’s always better to be safe than sorry, especially in these times when life as we know it is under threat.
Previous whispers of impending food and water shortages, power outages and government tyranny are now escalating to a shout, and simply cannot be ignored.
As patriots, we must prepare ourselves, our families and our community for the pressing times ahead. If you don’t know where to start, don’t worry; here we'll break down 7 Key Emergency Preparedness tips you can use to protect yourself and your family in 2022.
To survive the upcoming insanity knocking on America’s doors, start here:
7. Build a Bug-Out Bag

For starters, every home should have a bug-out bag or emergency kit prepared before SHTF. This "go-bag" can be a duffel or backpack with MOLLE and lots of pockets, and be packed with everything you'll need to survive in the short term.
When putting your bug-out bag together, give some thought to the essentials you'd want on hand if you needed to get out of dodge fast, including:
- Tough, all-weather clothes
- Survival gear & fire starters
- Food, water & medical supplies
- A knife and/or gun
- Any other essentials you may need

6. Refine Your Emergency Evacuation Plan

It’s also a good idea to have an emergency evacuation plan for you and your family members written down and memorized ahead of time.
For example, in the event of a disaster, you and your family might decide to reconvene at a place outside the city or some other safe location. Everyone in your family needs to know this is the plan before you implement it, so be sure that everyone in your group knows their role and what they need to do to be reunited.
5. Stash Barter Items & Emergency Funds

Depending on the disaster, the dollar may be worthless... But then again, currency may still hold value. Either way, don't count on your ATM card working to withdraw cash, and if the internet is down, banks will have no way to distribute money to you or access your account for purchases. To be safe, stockpile a stack of emergency cash.
Better yet, be prepared for an entire collapse of the economy by collecting some items that will be good for bartering if we're forced to live off the grid for extended periods. Think about valuable or useful items you can trade with other survivors, like extra medical supplies or shelter.
Also consider honing some skills that will be useful when rebuilding a society, such as gardening for vegetables, hunting, blacksmithing, sewing, and basic medical training.

4. Find Your Fellow Survivalists

Chances are any emergency situation will put you in close proximity to your neighbors. With that in mind, leverage your power in numbers by introducing yourself. You may just meet an ally ready to take on potential threats and adversity together, so you can join forces and prepare accordingly.
In an emergency, your neighbors may be willing to share food, storage areas and resources, and spread the load of communicating with emergency authorities, and so on.
3. Take First Aid Classes

You don’t need to be a qualified doctor to provide medical assistance to those in need. All it takes is some basic know-how and a well-stocked first aid kit to become a valuable asset in an emergency.
If you want to really be prepared for an upcoming emergency, you should take first aid classes and at the very least know how to give CPR to someone who may require resuscitation.
2. Keep Your Vehicle Prepped

If you need to leave your town or city quickly, it'll help to have a car that is fully gassed, in good working order, and ready to go.
Keep your vehicle in tip-top shape and be sure it is regularly maintained so you can rely on it in an emergency if need be. Pack an extra bug-out bag in your trunk with tools, medical supplies, shelter and water so you'll be set for a couple of days if you can't grab your supplies at home before evacuating.
1. Monitor Your Perishables

Lastly, be sure to regularly take stock and rotate your perishable materials and resources so they're as fresh as possible. Certain foods, gasoline, and fresh water should be rotated for longevity and freshness.
If a major emergency does occur, you may not be able to get these perishable materials for some time, and you'll want the things you do have to last as long as possible.
While they won’t last forever, having some of them on hand could help you and your family be safe and secure while others have to go without or scramble for limited resources provided by rescue operations.

It's becoming plain to see that we can't rely on the government for anything, and 2022 is the time to ensure your enduring safety.
Be a responsible, well-prepared patriot by following these 7 emergency preparedness tips and feel confident that you'll be able to keep your head above water through anything this year.
Stay strong patriots. United We Stand.
